How do you use Selsun Blue shampoo for skin fungus?

I get white pigmentation spots when I tan in the summer. Someone told me that it is a fungus caused by the sun and perspiration. A dermotologist said that Selsun Blue shampoo applied to the skin gets rid of it. How long and how often should it be applied?

    Smear it on affected area, let it dry and sleep on it. Wash away in the morning shower. 2-3 sessions should do it. From someone who has tried it.

    twice daily for about 4 days in a row.
    Just use it as if it were a liquid soap or bodywash.
