Skin Fungus Treatment
When I saw some red, itchy spots appearing on my thighs, I never thought that I would require skin fungus treatment. I thought it might be some minor skin infection. So I applied a skin cream but even after a week the itching did not heal. In fact, I got some itchy spots on my arms also.
It started as a small area where the skin started becoming flaky but after a week it was almost a couple of inches wide with a red circular boundary. When I showed it to my doctor, he said that it was nothing but some kind of an allergic reaction. So he gave me some allergy medicine.
The area really started to itch and I started to worry that it might be something serious. I was also getting embarrassed by people asking me why I was walking in that odd manner.
It was good that the doctor also suspected something and on the next visit he checked my skin under the microscope. Immediately he declared that I will have to undergo skin fungus treatment. He said that skin fungus is usually difficult to recognize initially but there was no need to worry.
He prescribed an anti-fungal cream which started to have effect within a few days. He also told me that skin fungus is highly contagious and spreads through contact with infected individuals. Fungus breeds in warm, humid and sweaty conditions.
Skin fungus treatment brought me some relief but I have now decided to take preventive measures. I use anti-fungal powder on my body, and make sure that I wear loose and light clothing especially in summer. Most importantly, I carry my own towel while traveling so that I do not have to share another’s towel or the hotel’s towel.
If you have got skin fungus, then you will do well to keep the area well covered so that it does not rub against the skin. Keep cleaning the area with warm soap water everyday and if possible keep the house cool to prevent you from sweating.
